Interested in participating in the UW Urban Canid Project? There are several ways to get involved!

With research funding becoming more and more scarce, we are diversifying our funding sources with a UW-Madison gift account to support our project. Your tax-deductible gift would help to purchase equipment like radio collars, hire field technicians, and ultimately help us continue to learn more urban canids.
Volunteer
The UW Urban Canid Project invites any members of the public along on morning trap checks. Trapping season usually runs from November-April. Keep an eye on our Facebook for updates!
Report a sighting
If you see a coyote or fox in Madison, please report it using our iNaturalist project. It only takes a few minutes and gives researchers valuable location data!
