To support thriving forests and working lands, we provide outreach and education programs supporting private woodland owners, forest products professionals, and conservation professionals. We also partner with towns, cities, villages, and counties across the state to foster collaborative stewardship and restoration ensuring Wisconsinites can make informed land management decisions today and tomorrow.

Educating Professionals
Extension provides professional development opportunities for foresters, forest products industry professionals, county and local government officials, and conservation professionals ensuring they are equipped with the latest research and tools to make informed decisions about their operations and their land.

Conservation Professional Training Program
The Conservation Professional Training Program provides conservation training courses to help conservation professionals deliver smarter solutions to farmers and rural landowners. From introductory courses for new employees to advanced training for conservation advisors, we provide diverse trainings to ensure you have the skills you need to succeed.

Wisconsin Forestry Center
The Wisconsin Forestry Center offers Forest Management Trainings for foresters to earn continuing education and continuing forester credits. Offerings include in-person workshops, self-paced online classes, and virtual webinar-style workshops.

Tallgrass Prairie and Oak Savanna Fire Science Consortium
This team of fire practitioners, scientists, outreach and extension specialists, volunteers, educators, and enthusiasts from the Tallgrass Prairie and Oak Savanna Region host webinars, discussions, field trips, and more to foster knowledge sharing within our regional fire community.

Center for Land Use Education
The Center for Land Use Education based at UW-Stevens Point supports local government officials, communities, organizations, and students to make informed land use decisions. Topics range from conservation and community planning, zoning and subdivision regulations, to bio- and renewable energy, climate change, and land use impacts on water quality.
