Farmers and Agricultural Advisors
Amplified weather extremes are creating new challenges for Wisconsin’s diverse agricultural producers. From dairy and row crops to specialty products, farmers across the state are increasingly experiencing a range of weather-related impacts. We work with farmers and agricultural advisors to better understand these changes and co-develop decision-support tools that help them prepare for and respond to extreme weather in ways that strengthen long-term preparedness.

Crop Management Decision Support
Farm management decisions made on a daily, seasonally, and annual basis are impacted by increasingly volatile weather patterns. Improved data and climate information can assist farmers in making management decisions that improve resilience and reduce costs associated with weather impacts. Our project will co-develop data tools and climate information with input from producers that support farm management decisions related to weather and climate.
