Earth Sciences – Expertise and Education

Earth Sciences

We conduct research on Wisconsin’s climate, geology, mineral resources, and water resources, and share these findings through publications, technical talks, and outreach. This work provides information for all Wisconsinites to use for decision-making, problem-solving, planning, management, development, and education.

Groundwater Model Teacher Workshops

The Groundwater Model Teacher Workshops provide hands-on training for teachers interested in learning how to use a sand-tank groundwater model to help students visualize the movement of groundwater and pollutants below their feet.
